Meagan and Jimmy are two New York City-based professionals (he’s an author, she’s in communications) who decided to take a hiatus to travel the globe for a few months. Just when they thought they had the next chapter mapped out, they got the surprise of a lifetime: a wee little one on the way! But rather than change their travel plans, they decided to take the trip with the bun in the oven. Meagan is, after all, due in mid July.
So for the first few months of the year, they set up shop in Amsterdam before diving back to reality in the Big Apple.
We’ll use this blog to document our adventures, the pregnancy, and all of the changes life has tossed our way. And while we enjoy sharing our own news, we also love hearing from you! Feel free to leave thoughts or comments here or email us at meagankirkpatrick (at) mac (dot) com.

Congratulations Meagan & Jimmy! You are starting one of the most exciting adventures of your lives! Get plenty of sleep now as that is the one thing you will be short of once the baby arrives. There is nothing more fulfilling, I think, than being a parent. Through the highs and lows, each moment is precious, and each stage of your child’s life will be better than the previous one. It just seems to get better and better (once you can get enough sleep!). I remember so well when you, Meagan were a wee bonny babe, and it was fun watching you grow up. I’m excited to welcome you to the “Mother’s Club” and wish you a calm, smooth pregnancy. Looking forward to meeting Jimmy, too! Have fun on this marvelous journey! XO Aunt Nan

Meagan, we were so excited to here the news! We wish you happiness and joy in your life and look forward to meeting Jimmy and of course the baby when it comes. Congratultions and enjoy the time you have left, your life will change, but in such a wonderful way.
